What time will the band arrive?

We will usually arrive and set-up from 5:30pm-6pm onwards. For weddings, this means we're ready to set up as soon as the wedding breakfast and speeches are finished. With corporate and charity events, the band will always set up and sound check before guests arrive. 

How long does it take the band to set up?

We can set up and sound-check in 90 minutes, or an hour at a push!

How long will the band play for?

Usually 2 x 1hr sets or 3 x 40mins sets as standard. 

How long are the intervals?

The intervals are usually around 20 minutes long but this can be longer depending on what suits your event.

Will the band learn my first dance?

It's a wonderful thing to have a bespoke arrangement of your first dance. We can do this for you for a small additional charge and we'll give you a copy of the musical score as a keepsake. 

Can we choose the set list?

We welcome clients giving us direction on our musical choices - if there are any songs you'd love us to play from our repertoire please let us

know so we can incorporate them into our set. We love to keep some flexibility on the set so we can keep our set-pieces and react to audience on the night. 

Does the band provide music between and before sets?

We can do. But we recommend having a fabulous DFC DJ or Host where possible. 

What will the band wear?

Our usual band dress code is formal with a vintage twist. If your event is black tie or fancy dress, please let us know so we can dress appropriately!​

Will the band require refreshments?

We request we get provided with free soft drinks throughout our stay at the venue and some food, usually after we've set up or during the interval. We may be working 8 or 9 hours including travel so food is always much appreciated by our talented guys. Delivering a high energy set needs fuel!

 

How do I confirm a booking?

If you would like to book us, we will usually take a 20% deposit alongside a booking contract to secure your booking. Then you're all sorted!

Does the price quoted include travel costs and expenses?

Yes, all quotes include travel expenses.

Does the band provide their own PA system / Sound equipment?

We have only top quality full PA and lighting. We are fully self contained - all we need is some power and a space to play, and we're good to go!

Do we need to hire a raised stage?

A stage is always a welcome addition to our performance but is not a requirement.

Is the band PAT tested with public liability insurance (PLI)?

Yes, if the venue requires a certificate for either of the above, please let us know,
